I'm really impressed

This is a darn good Beta, Scott.

My primary hesitation (the "feel" of flight) is not an issue.  Turned off auto-AB, normalized thrust, and auto-leveling... and it flies like a dream.

I am still getting a feel for the weapons, but I am really, really impressed.  smile

Re: I'm really impressed

Yeah, although I'm still learning to correctly play the game, I'm really liking it!

It's very good indeed, and for me, as an old-schooler I'm, I like very much the fact that it feels like a mix of Descent with Terminal Velocity. big_smile

You're making an impressive work here Scott! cool

Re: I'm really impressed

I can't promise much in the way of serious play-through testing, but I do have a moderate selection of computers I could use for simple compatibility testing.  If nothing else a couple of the very old systems I have might help on guessing the minimum system requirements, assuming the game runs in Windows XP anyway...  If not, it should be possible to run Windows 7 on all of these computers (barely) and I would be willing to throw a trial copy on some spare hard drives just to test.

Heh, just thinking about it, the one computer I have in the basement (if it still runs) was basically my main gaming machine in 2003-2005...  If this game runs on that, I don't think the minimum system requirements will be much of a problem. tongue

Thanks guys. smile This has been my pet project for years. I've put a lot of work into it, I'm proud of it, and I'm very happy that it has been so well-received.

Re: I'm really impressed

Looks like I'm going to play two games in the future - Descent and Talon. wink
That's the most amazing and impressive Descent successor I have seen.

Re: I'm really impressed

Apologies for the belated reply, somehow I missed some new posts here.

Welcome Thomas and Hunter! Good to have you here. And Rhino. Thanks for the kind words. I am very happy that so many of my fellow Descent fans are enjoying Talon.
