To get a better feel for how the ships dogfight, some of us were thinking that another level is needed. Something indoors with a large room to dogfight in, larger than the dogfighting rooms in your warehouse level. An example would be Powerhouse from D3, if you're familiar with that level. Of course, there would have to be some side corridors and rooms to get weapons, etc from - but as simple as you can make the level.

Random question that might relate: My best friend remade Ascent in Blender. Is Talon capable of importing levels made in Blender?
If yes, I might be able to talk him into giving it to Scott and that'd make for having a level with some larger dogfighting rooms.

That should not be too difficult. I will see what I can whip up.

No, I'm afraid it isn't. One of my biggest complaints with the Torque engine has been the lack of good editors for its special map geometry. I understand newer versions of Torque have addressed this, but porting over that code into my engine would be a lot of work. Better map editing tools is one of the big things I would like to address if I get to make a Talon 2.

Does the DTS exporter for blender work
https://projects.blender.org/projects/torqueexporter/
They also reference DAE files

Probably does, although I couldn't say how well. I wrote my own DTS converter for OBJ files, which I will make available when I get a few minutes. The Blender exporter might work great, though, I haven't tried it.
You can't make full levels with DTS shapes though. DTS is suitable for small objects, but Talon doesn't support per-poly collisions in DTS shapes, making it unsuitable for large objects and interior spaces.

Well that took me a little longer than I hoped. I was distracted with bug fixing. Anyway,
Bunker:
and BattleCube:
They are both small, suitable for 4 to 8 players, I should say.
Beta testers grab the latest patch and get to work!

Number Zero was referring to a version of the D3 mission "Ascent" - my fav mp mission for D3...
Well the size would need to be realational bigger but it'd be great.

Ah, ok. I'm trying to remember if I ever played that in D3. Was that the map with the diagonal sloped central corridor with the pillars in the middle?

Ah yes, that one. I remember that map.

Ahhhhhh, Ascent. Would be majorly awesome to see some variation of that map re-incarnated.
