The beta works fine on my server w/ an i3-3225 (HD4000, driver 9.18.10.3165, 2013-05-07) Let me try the demo...
Edit: Works just as the beta, no problems. Have Munk check if his driver is up to date, latest can be found here

Thank you, Grendel, that's the first thing I would suggest. Also, does Munk have his drivers forcing antialiasing filters on? On my card I noticed that forcing FSAA makes the menus curiously fuzzy, probably owing to the way the algorithm works with a frame buffer whose dimensions aren't powers of 2. evenly divisible by 32. ok, I don't know what they did or what they were expecting of the canvas size. I can't think of a way in which the 440x600 canvas size that I used for the menus is mathematically different from standard resolutions, except for not being one of the standard resolutions.

I confirm that this is a problem. I got around it by configuring my systems switchable graphics to use my higher power graphics card.
I will add that the game runs fine on the HD4000, just not the launcher.

The launcher window and the game window use the same engine/window/rendering code. There should be no difference, other than the fact that the launcher window is not using one of the typical desktop resolutions. I'm guessing that the HD4000 drivers are deficient in the way they handle non-standard canvas sizes.

My guess it's caused by a older driver. Like I said, works just fine on my i3-3225 w/ the driver mentioned above.

Ah. You're probably right. Sorry. my bad for skimming.

Sorry to bother you guys, a new driver version (July 2013) did fix the problem with the launcher.

That is good to hear. I'm glad that it fixed your problem. I'm also glad that we identified this issue, and identified a solution to it. This knowledge may be useful in the future if other people encounter the same problem.

Exactly...
Very interesting that nobody at the Do_LAN had a similar issue.
Nice to know that the same recommendations for such issues as back in the days - might lead to success - just like 14 years ago -
Munk: I know you as one of the most experienced , skilled and brightest players - if you had a few hours left for further testing - I'd appreciate this a lot for the benefit for Talon's success.
