any chance on increasing the fire rate of the disruptor so it's viable on bigger maps?

The Disruptor's low rate of fire is set so as to balance against its high damage potential. I would be concerned that increasing the fire rate would unbalance that weapon.

I agree, Disruptor is not a dogfight weapon. It's the reverse equivalent to the QuadRaser.
To increase it's rate of fire would make it too powerful on tight maps like Warehouse.
On larger maps like Killing Fields or Frontier it is useful for targeting opponents inside of hangars and bases. Or to surprise someone coming with high speed head-on towards you in a free space fight (combine it with a missile). Disruptor mastery is all about right timing.
For me weapon balance feels good now with 1.01.

I like it the way it is right now too

not neccasarily increase the fire rate but it has a delay when firing, and the lasers are far more op than the disruptor.

I guess, if you can aim them properly. I'm trying .
But they are relatively slow and not very big, so they're easy to avoid. In closed maps especially. Terrain maps call for more missiles anyway.
I'm 99% sure you can't hypnotize me. Well, maybe more like 87%... weeeeeeell... I'm 42% sure you can't hypnotize me.

Admit it master, you're just trying to keep up with my op blaster/dart sneak attacks

I think the Disruptor is fine, it's that the Raser is too powerful so the Disruptor appears weak in comparison.

The trick with the Disruptor is that it passes through ships doing damage over time as it goes. Therefor you want to use it when the target is flying away from you in order to keep the target in contact with the Disruptor projectile longer. Get it right, and the Disruptor can rip through any ship in a single shot. It's the only primary that can, in the right conditions, kill in one shot. So it's powerful, but not easy to use.
